Waterjet cutting for composites

Dual-head waterjet cutting gives carbon laminates and sandwich panels clean, sharp edges without heat input — ready for installation or further processing.

01Overview

Overview

Waterjet cutting is a cold process, so the resin is not heated and the laminate is not thermally damaged. It is ideal for flat carbon plates, sandwich panels and complex 2D contours.

With two cutting heads we can process parts in parallel, keeping lead times short for both single parts and batches.

02Process

Waterjet Cutting

  1. Step 01

    Nesting

Contours from your DXF or CAD data are nested for minimal material waste.

  2. Step 02

    Cutting

Dual-head waterjet cutting of outer contours, holes and slots.

  3. Step 03

    Inspection

Edges and dimensions are checked before parts are released.

03Applications

Applications

  • Carbon fiber plates and flat parts
  • PMI and honeycomb sandwich panels
  • UAV frame plates
  • Gaskets, foams and technical materials
