Tooling
Production molds for repeatable composite parts
Composite molds developed from a master pattern for repeatable part geometry and surface finish.

01Challenge
A validated part design had to move from prototype to repeatable production, with the same geometry and surface quality on every part.
02Engineering
Parting lines, draft and flanges were defined from the part geometry, with demolding and trimming considered from the start.
03Manufacturing
The master pattern is prepared and coated, reinforcement is laminated to form the composite mold, and the cured tool is released, trimmed and prepared for use.
04Result
Composite tooling for prototypes, small batches or production runs, built to reproduce the geometry and surface finish of the master pattern.
