UAV
Carbon fiber structures for UAV airframes
Tubes, frame plates and sandwich parts combining stiffness, low weight and vibration resistance.

01Challenge
UAV airframes need maximum stiffness at the lowest possible weight, resistance to vibration around motors and electronics, and a supplier that can keep up with fast design changes.
02Engineering
We combined carbon tubes built from unidirectional and bidirectional fabrics with flat carbon plates and PMI sandwich parts, and designed mounting points for electronics and payload.
03Manufacturing
Prototype parts were produced quickly for testing; tubes, plates and sandwich parts were then laminated, CNC machined and waterjet cut in-house.
04Result
A light, rigid structural set — frames, arms and mounts — that can move from prototype to repeatable production without changing supplier.
